God Of War's GPU Requirements
While games become ever-more demanding, finding an affordable GPU in the current market is a challenging feat for many. Thankfully, God of War appears to be somewhat forgiving, as the minimum recommends an NVIDIA GTX 960 or AMD 290X, both of which are at least six years old at this point. For the 1080p 60FPS recommendations, the specs are an NVIDIA GTX 1070 or AMD RX 5600 XT. These cards are common for modern game system requirements, though their retail price hasn't dropped much despite their age. Reaching the ultra-performance end of things, God of War unsurprisingly requires the latest cards. Either an NVIDIA RTX 3080 or AMD 6800 XT is recommended for 4K, which are notoriously difficult to get a hold of these days. However, NVIDIA RTX card owners are in luck, as the latest trailer revealed the game will be featuring NVIDIA's latest DLSS technology, which can upscale to the game to look incredibly close to the native resolution while being able to save huge amounts of FPS.
God Of War's RAM & Storage Requirements
The RAM requirements are much more doable for most PC owners, as the minimum to high specs only recommends 8GB of RAM, something that is increasingly less common with modern PC games. Only the 1440p and 4K specs recommend 16GB of RAM, which is likely expected from owners of high-resolution monitors. As for storage, God of War falls on the higher-end of things, with 70GB of SSD storage being recommended even for the minimum specs, showing just how quickly HDDs are becoming obsolete. While 70GB is large, requiring over 50GB of space seems to be the new norm for modern AAA games, meaning players have to be picky with how many games are installed at once.
